  • June 2008 – Present: Center 4 Massage Therapy – Massage Therapist

MODALITIES:

  • Basic Reflexology – massage based around a system of points in the hands and feet thought to correspond, or "reflex," to all areas of the body.

  • Clinical/Therapeutic Massage – involves the manipulation of the soft tissue structures of the body to prevent and alleviate pain, discomfort, muscle spasm, and stress; and, to promote health and wellness.

  • Deep (Hot) Stone Therapy – utilizing heated stones to soften tight muscles, trigger points, and soothe chronic muscle pain while lessening discomfort during therapy.  Also used with Swedish relaxation massage to de-stress and relax with the added warmth from smooth stones being pressed against the skin.

  • Deep Tissue Massage – directed specifically to individual muscle fibers. Its purpose is to un-stick the fibers of a muscle while releasing deeply-held patterns of tension, removing toxins, relaxing, soothing and thereby re-educating, as well as encouraging the muscle to operate at full capacity. It is both corrective and therapeutic.

  • Pregnancy Massage – Acquire special skills in working from preconception massage through pregnancy and labor to post partum massage. Contraindications, proper positioning, and specific routine are covered. 

  • Swedish Relaxation Massage – a system of long strokes, kneading and friction techniques on the more superficial layers of the muscles, combined with active and passive movements of the joints.
